Did u notice what the guy did after assisting her to get up back to her feet? He kissed her gently. He could have simply got her up and kept dancing, but he chose to help her wipe off the unease(the feeling).
Life's like dancing and a couple supports each other during the dance, not only with the technical skills (family background, social status, earnings etc, in life), but also with the hearts (love & respect, in life)
Competitions (challenges, in life) helps 'em get to know more about both themselves & their partners; Sometimes, it's not about winning. Getting awards would just be a bonus.
